Patrick

About me:
I was born and raised in New Jersey. I attended William Paterson University, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelors of Fine Art degree, concentrating in graphic design and photography. I worked as a freelance designer and photographer before and through college. In 2001, I started the “Ovidado” skateboard company. It was my first experience designing anything commercially, and it was a success. I continued to design and sell skateboards for about 4 more years until my college studies and other priorities put the company on hold. Today, I still have a huge passion for skateboarding, but I keep busy designing and shooting photos for a variety of clients. I love the work I do. I’m not sure I can even call it ‘work’.

What have you been doing to make this project a success?
My job is to make the site look good, so good that it's fun to check it out over and over again. Never before have I really focused on web-design, but I’m starting to become addicted. As a graphic designer and photographer, I want people to see my work, and there’s a great satisfaction that I get when people see anything I’ve created. The web is the easiest and quickest way for thousands of people to see something, and see it quickly.

I enjoy clean, functional design. I’m always looking for inspiration, and there’s so much to find. I like to bring everything I’ve got to Makeaquick.com. This site is a project I truly believe in, and I want the site to be great.

What are you going to do with your share of Makeaquick.com success?
I plan on paying off some school bills, getting settled in New York City, or Los Angeles, setting up an office and continuing my graphic design and photography work as much as possible. I know that the Makeaquick.com pixel-advertising site will be a tremendous success, because has all the vital ingredients to make it.

If you weren’t working on Makeaquick.com, what would you be doing?
I would probably be doing something very similar. If I had my dream job, I would be doing everything I love all the time: shooting photos and designing for the skateboarding industry.

How did you get involved with this project?
During my last summer break at W.P.U, I was staying in Los Angeles, interning with a company as a web / graphic designer. I kept myself available for freelance work, and that’s when Egor contacted me about creating a quality logo for a business idea. The single logo project turned into a few more projects, and it eventually led to a partnership. Egor, David and I make a good team.
